Job Title: Multiple Skilled Fiber Technician
Location: New Zealand
We are seeking a skilled multiple Fiber Technician to join our team in New Zealand. As a Fiber Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables and associated equipment. We are looking for candidates with experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly in fiber optics, who can work independently and as part of a team.

Job Title: Skilled Fiber Technician
Responsibilities and Experience
Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables according to industry standards
Conduct fiber optic network maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and repairs
Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure successful completion of projects
Complete documentation and reports related to fiber optic installations and maintenance
Adhere to safety and quality standards in all work activities
Provide training and support to junior technicians as needed
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fiber optic technology
Qualifications: 5+ years experience in the same field; FOA certificate shall be more chances to hire, but not necessary.
Proven experience working as a Fiber Technician in the telecommunications industry
Knowledge and understanding of fiber optic cabling standards and best practices
Experience with fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing equipment
Familiarity with fiber optic network design and installation techniques
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Relevant certifications/experience preferred
