Job Title: Skilled Fiber Technician

Responsibilities and Experience

• Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables according to industry standards
• Conduct fiber optic network maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and repairs
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure successful completion of projects
• Complete documentation and reports related to fiber optic installations and maintenance
• Adhere to safety and quality standards in all work activities
• Provide training and support to junior technicians as needed
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fiber optic technology
• Qualifications: 5+ years experience in the same field; FOA certificate shall be more chances to hire, but not necessary.
• Proven experience working as a Fiber Technician in the telecommunications industry
• Knowledge and understanding of fiber optic cabling standards and best practices
• Experience with fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing equipment
• Familiarity with fiber optic network design and installation techniques
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Relevant certifications/experience preferred
