Information and Communications Services Limited was incorporated in New Zealand in 2015 and is owned outright by the two people who run it. It is headquartered in Rotorua and has traded continuously for eleven years.
The Minister who deregulated New Zealand telecommunications is the chairman of this company.
Richard Prebble was a director of Ultrafast Fibre. He persuaded Muhammad Asif, a telecom engineer who had rolled out fibre across a country, to set up ICS. They own the company between them.

Muhammad Asif
A former senior telecom engineer at Pakistan Telecommunications, responsible among other things for the successful roll-out of fibre across Pakistan. Why the company was set up
The founding observation was that New Zealand has a shortage of senior ICT capability, and simultaneously a supply of highly skilled specialists who migrated here under the points scheme and ended up underemployed. Both things are true at once, and neither is being solved by the incumbents.
ICS exists to close that gap. It maintains a database of New Zealand resident software and IT specialists and can assemble a team for a job of any size, rather than carrying a fixed payroll and selling whatever that payroll happens to know.
The stated ambition is to build New Zealand's leading IT and software company by bringing world-class engineering capability to a market that has been under-served by it.
