What operators and businesses run on it
International SMS trading
Wholesale hubbing between operators, with routing and billing handled on the platform rather than reconciled afterwards.
Notifications and alerts
Transactional messaging from business systems over the HTTP interface. Appointment reminders, dispatch notices, outage warnings.
Polls and surveys
Two-way campaigns with responses collected and reported, rather than a one-way blast into the dark.
Outcall campaigns
Scheduled broadcast campaigns with progress monitoring, so a marketing team can see delivery as it happens.
Missed call applications
A missed call costs the customer nothing, which is exactly why it works as a call to action in price-sensitive markets. The caller rings an advertised number, hangs up, and the platform treats the ring itself as the signal.
- Free engagement and feedback. Brands and advertisers use free missed calls from consumers to gather engagement and feedback without charging the consumer anything.
- Call to action for applications. A missed call from a registered number can trigger a process. Banks use this pattern for automatic prepaid mobile top-ups.
- Lead generation. Advertised numbers work as a toll-free route for lead capture, surveys, support campaigns, opinion polls and performance feedback.
- Reporting. Detailed analytics and reporting for every campaign, so the response rate is measured rather than estimated.
Voice broadcasting
Alerts, promotions and campaigns delivered as voice, which reaches people who do not read messages and works in markets with lower literacy rates.
- Pure broadcasting and advertising models
- Transfer the call to an agent mid-message
- Lead collection based on the customer keypad input
- Emergency notification broadcasts
- Detailed reporting on campaigns and results
- Automatic retries for defined call results
- Scheduled campaigns
- Customisable calling line identity
Audio conferencing
A reservation-less conference bridge with web-based provisioning and reporting, and billing integrated into the same platform.
Moderator controls
- Lecture mode
- Lock and unlock the conference
- Roll call, to count participants
- Start recording
- Email the recorded file to the moderator afterwards
Commercial controls
- Concurrent participant limits by package type
- Audio advertisement inserted into the welcome message, which is what makes a free conferencing tier viable
- Self mute and unmute for participants
Questions
Can we connect our own systems to it?
Yes. SMPP 3.4 for volume and carrier integration, HTTP for application-level sending. Both are supported, and the platform interworks between them.
Do you check numbers before sending?
Real-time HLR lookup is available, which tells you whether a number is live and which network it is on before you pay to send to it.
Is this suitable for a New Zealand business, or only for operators?
Both. The multi-tenant self-service layer exists so an enterprise can run its own campaigns from a portal without an operator in the middle.
Tell us the volume and the use case
Those two things determine whether you need the wholesale side or the enterprise portal.
